Membership
Membership Categories
Ordinary Membership
- Any person over the age of 18 years shall be eligible to become an ordinary member of the Party upon acceptance of the Party’s ideology, vision, mission, guiding principles and values on undertaking to support its objectives, policies, programs and adherence to its Code of Conduct and Discipline.
- A person will become an ordinary member upon payment to the Party of such an amount and subscription fees or other fees as determined by the Management Committee
- An ordinary member shall, subject to Party Rules and Regulations, have the right to take part in activities of the Party.
Cub Membership
- Any person between the age of 10 and 17 years shall be eligible to become a cub-member of the Party upon acceptance of the Party’s ideology, vision, mission, guiding principles and values and shall support its objectives, policies, programs and adherence to its Code of Conduct and Discipline.
- A person will become a cub member upon payment to the Party of such an amount and subscription fee or other fees as determined by the Management Committee.
- A cub member will, subject to Party Rules and Regulations, have the right to take part in Party activities.
Associate Membership
- Any legal person, entity or organization, other than a registered political Party, can apply to the Management Committee to be an associate member of the Party.
- An Associate member of the Party shall upon payment of a prescribed fee have rights and duties as an ordinary member.
Diaspora Membership
- Subject to the provisions of the Constitution of Kenya, any other written law and this Constitution, any Kenyan Citizen that is not ordinarily resident in Kenya and has demonstrable identification with the Party’s vision, ideology, values and objectives and supports the objectives, policies, programs and discipline of the Party shall be eligible to become a diaspora member of the Party upon payment of prescribed fee.
- An ordinary member may become a diaspora member upon residing abroad for a continuous period of more than twelve ( months and shall notify Party Headquarters in case of changes in his/her forwarding address.
Life Membership
- Any person who is a member of the Party shall be eligible to be a life member upon payment of a life membership fee as prescribed by the Management Committee and shall be issued with a life membership certificate.
- A life member shall, subject to Party Rules and or Regulations, be eligible to vie and hold any office in the Party.
Corporate Membership
- Any organized and legally registered entity that shares in the Party’s ideology, vision, mission, guiding principles and values and which supports Ford Kenya’s objectives, policies, programs and adherence to its Code of Conduct and Discipline shall be eligible to become, upon application, a corporate member.
- The Corporate member shall be issued with a corporate certificate upon payment of a fee as determined by the Management Committee.
